This session summarises this emerging theme from the study by Dr Jacqui Montgomery Devlin ‘The influence of paramilitary gangs in Northern Ireland on the recognition of child sexual exploitation (CSE) in young males‘.
It sets out the context of paramilitarism in Northern Ireland, explaining its significance to the study undertaken and highlighting factors impeding the recognition of CSE in males within these environments. It concludes with some specific recommendations to inform policy and practice in this area.
