The charity provides support for children and young people diagnosed with cancer or are living with a parent diagnosed with cancer. They also offer support at home, in the community, on the hospital ward and at their own residential centre, so that no family has to face cancer alone.
The Council team started at the Giant’s Causeway visitor centre and trekked ten miles along the Antrim coast with various stretches of challenging terrain along the way, making it to the finish line at the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. Here they proudly received their participation certificates and enjoyed some much needed sustenance. The team raised an amazing £1,543 for the charity, who received their ‘giant’ cheque at the NISCC offices. Thanks to everyone who both participated and donated to a very good cause.
