NIASW Research Survey

The Northern Ireland Association of Social Workers (NIASW) is conducting a research survey to examine the extent to which social workers in Northern Ireland have been subjected to intimidation, threats or violence while in practice and to explore the impact of any incidents they have experienced.

NIASW wants to gain a clear understanding of the types of violent, threatening and intimidating incidents social workers have experienced, and of the service areas where they are at risk.

NIASW aims to compile the most comprehensive picture it can of social workers’ experiences  across all areas of service delivery, and is just as interested in hearing from social workers who have never been subjected to intimidation, threats  or violence as those who have.
 
The survey is open to all registered social workers in Northern Ireland. NIASW will close the survey on 30 April and will launch a report outlining the findings at an event on 6 June.
