Delivering High Quality Workplaces Workshop

The Department of Health, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Business in the Community Northern Ireland and the Centre for Research into the Older Workforce (CROW) are holding a half-day workshop for employers, unions, service users and carers on Tuesday, 29 May 2018 at Riddel Hall, Queen’s University Belfast.

The workshop will look for ways to deliver high quality and healthy workplaces for both care home and domiciliary workers with its aims four-fold:

  • To identify practical innovations to improve working conditions for care workers
  • To make better use of technology to empower care workers
  • To look for ways in which employers, unions and carers themselves can collaborate
  • o give care workers a voice over their working lives

To encourage care providers are encouraged to invite one member of staff each to attend the event. So as to compensate care workers for their time, the organisers will pay them £50 each for attendance.

If both a manager and an employee (i.e. social care worker) will be attending from your organisation, please ask BOTH participants to sign up for a ticket.
