Free Lunchtime Seminars for November – Register Now!

Join us on Wednesday, 21st November from 12 noon to 2 pm for a Lunchtime Seminar in Belfast.

The Seminar titled “The Heart of Living and Dying: what matters to you in your living, and when the time comes, your dying” will be facilitated by Deirdre McKenna, Southern Health and Social Care Trust, and Adult Services Social Worker of the Year 2018 alongside Macmillan Specialist Paliative Care Service Social Worker Gillian Thomas, Western Health and Social Care Trust and Tierna Armstrong, SHSCT.

Social Workers can use the learning from this event to claim PIP credits for their Continuous Professional Development.

"The Heart of Living and Dying" initiative is a Public Health approach to advance care planning, inviting professionals and members of the public to a gentle supported and facilitated conversation about living and dying. It also encourages people to begin to anticipate future care needs and plan ahead.

This session is experiential learning, in that those who come will be participating from a personal viewpoint in a conversation about what matters to them in their living, dying and thinking ahead.

Come along and participate in this conversation about what matters to you. This experience will help you to support people who have palliative or end of life care needs.

There is no charge to attend this seminar. To reserve your place, please click here to complete the Survey Monkey. Please note spaces are limited and will be allocated on a "first come, first served" basis.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 14th November 2018 and confirmation of places will be emailed on Thursday 15th November 2018. If you require any further information, please contact us on: 02895 362329 or email: jordan.adair@niscc.hscni.net
