The 2022 virtual Conference for Approved Social Workers (ASWs) in Northern Ireland is due to take place on Tuesday 15 November 2022, 9.45am-4.15pm.
The conference will include international perspectives, the carers experience, various deep dives looking at the role of ASWs with input from the Republic of Ireland, Scotland. The conference will also include a focus on the supports ASWs need to ensure that they can continue to offer the human rights centred practice that is so important to their role, particularly in relation to mental health. Northern Ireland’s newly appointed Chief Social Worker, Aine Morrison will also be present to sum up the event.
The event is applicable to all ASWs; their line managers; ASW candidates in training and ASW Professional supervisors.
