Webinar: Building money guidance into social work practice

03 February 2021

Join Janine Maher from the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) to explore practical tools, calculators and resources that could support your daily work with service users. The webinar will provide stakeholder links to support service users, whether they are facing debt or housing challenges, and introduce the Money Guiders programme.

What we will cover

Our training will give you an insight into what money guidance is and how it already forms a crucial part of your daily work with service users.

Many of the people that social workers support often experience poverty and deprivation, which can make it challenging for social workers in their efforts to improve and safeguard wellbeing. While social workers are not expected to be experts in money guidance; they should be able to understand enough to recognise and assess a problem and source the right help for their service users.
