13 January 2020

The Northern Ireland Social Care Council (Social Care Council) in partnership with Ulster University carried out a research (2018/2019) to assess the digital skills and confidence of the registered social work and social care workforce (43,000) to explore the use of digital resources to support learning and development for today and in the future.

Overall this research highlights that we have a very digitally enabled, digitally ready workforce.

Employers are also experiencing this when they are using the Register to look up the details of registrants. We are working to resolve this. Affected registrants should continue to work whilst their record on the Register is updated.
