About this seminar

This seminar, presented by Nexus NI, will introduce the Beacon Project and explore how frontline practitioners can play a vital role in recognising early risk, safeguarding children and young people, and preventing exploitation.

The session will highlight the importance of professional curiosity and relationship-based practice, and the child sexual exploitation training opportunities available to frontline staff.

Objectives

  • Introduce the Beacon Project, its work and its role in supporting children and young people.
  • Showcase available CSE training and resources for frontline practitioners.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the seminar, participants will have greater confidence in recognising and identifying opportunities for early intervention, and accessing relevant training and support to strengthen their everyday practice.

Who should attend?

Social workers and frontline practitioners working with children, young people and families across relevant services and settings.

Together, we can strengthen professional practice, improve early recognition and help ensure children and young people receive the right support at the right time.
