Date: 30th April 2026
Time: 12noon - 1.30pm

The last Lunchtime Seminar of April is focused on ‘The Adult Safeguarding Programme Specialist Award’. This award is completed over the course of three modules in partnership with Ulster University and provides social workers with an opportunity to engage with the Professional in Practice framework, to achieve their PGDip in Professional Development in Social Work. This now well-established programme of study and professional development promotes social workers’ knowledge and awareness of the many facets and complexities associated with supporting adults at risk of harm.
Each candidate is required to deliver a short presentation on an area of research and this Lunchtime Seminar provides an opportunity for a selection of recent candidates to present on their exploratory reading and findings as they relates to their specific area of practice within Adult Safeguarding Practice.
Through this seminar we seek to showcase the knowledge that is being generated locally, offer insights to the complexities and challenges of adult safeguarding practice, promote best practice and evidence based practice, as well as generate a wider interest in both adult safeguarding and accessing post qualifying learning opportunities.
