New Lunchtime Seminar – A Human Rights-Based Approach to Social Work

25 March 2024

The Northern Ireland Social Care Council (Social Care Council) have announced a new Lunchtime Seminar for April.

A Human Rights-Based Approach to Social Work will explore how social workers can use a human rights-based approach to assist them in their daily practice.

Recognising the increasingly complex and pressurised environment social workers operate in, this seminar will help dispel some of the myths around what human rights require from those delivering vital services in this field.  By using real life examples, the seminar will offer practical support and assistance to help social workers empower service users.

The seminar will be presented by Dr Nazia Latif of Right Practice, a highly-experienced trainer with extensive experience of working in human rights in Northern Ireland and internationally.

Dr Latif specialises in providing practical assistance to organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors to improve the lives of communities here.

The Social Care Council’s Lunchtime Seminars are delivered online for free  and are available for anyone to register and attend.

Please note, this seminar will not be recorded and slides and presentation will not be available after the event.

Registration for A Human Rights-Based Approach to Social Work is now open, just click on the below link to reserve your place.
