Online services - Notice of downtime

Thank you for your patience – our planned maintenance is now complete and all systems are back online.

As part of our ongoing maintenance and improvement program, the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (the Social Care Council) applies upgrades and enhancements to our online systems as part of regular maintenance.

At times during these works, we are required to take our online services offline.

Due to a planned system maintenance, our online registration services for social workers and social care workers through ‘My Portal’ and the Public Facing Register, will not be available:

This work is part of our ongoing efforts to improve the services we provide to registrants and employers and set ourselves up for future demands. 

For anyone who is due to pay an annual registration fee or renew their registration during this period, we would ask that you progress your registration before or after the one-day downtime

What do I do if I have a question?

We are still here to support you. You’ll find lots of helpful resources on our website that can help answer your questions.

During the system upgrade our phonelines will remain open to provide general guidance and advice should registrants and employers have any concerns or issues. 

No amendments to register data will be possible during the system downtime period and we will not be able to take payments or amend submitted applications during this time by phone.

However, the advisory line will be available Monday to Friday 10am-12pm and 2pm – 4pm by calling 02895 362600 to take general enquiries.

Registrants, employers and endorsers can also continue to use the dedicated registration email: registration@niscc.hscni.net.

System alert – Public Facing Register

We are aware of a technical issue affecting a number of registrants who are unable to view their registration status on the Public Register Facing Register (the Register). Employers are also experiencing this when they are using the Register to look up the details of registrants. We are working to resolve this. Affected registrants should continue to work whilst their record on the Register is updated. If any further information is required by an individual registrant or employer, please email: registration@niscc.hscni.net.
