The Northern Ireland Social Care Council (the Social Care Council) is proud to announce that the Social Care Workforce Reform project has been shortlisted for a prestigious European award.
Taking place this November, this nomination highlights our leading and innovative reform work within the social care sector in Northern Ireland.
Our work with the social care sector, supported by Department of Health (DoH) Social Care Collaborative Forum, has earned a coveted spot in the shortlist in the Workforce Support category and with voting now officially open – we are asking for your support to help this valuable work get recognised at the highest level.
The European Social Services Awards 2024 celebrate excellence and innovation across the social services sector in Europe. Our nomination reflects our dedication to supporting the social care workforce who empower the people they support to live fulfilling, independent lives.

There is a second project from Northern Ireland also shortlisted for an award in the Excellence in Communities Award category, which celebrates organisations that are outstanding in crafting inclusive and resilient neighbourhoods and communities, ensuring that all residents’ rights, choices and independence are valued and respected.
