1. How do I make an online referral?
To raise a concern about a registered social care worker or social worker you should use the online referral portal. You can access the portal by choosing the button that describes you on the ‘Raising a concern’ section of our website or click the button below.
2. Can I raise a concern using the online referral portal using a mobile phone device?
Yes, the portal is device friendly, you can access it by your mobile, laptop or computer.
3. Can I raise a concern anonymously using the online referral portal?
Yes, you can raise a concern without providing personal details, however it can be more difficult for us to investigate and in these instances, we are unable to provide you with any updates or information.
4. How will I know which form to use?
If you are using the online referral portal, there will be a drop-down list at the very start that asks you to choose a category that describes who you are e.g. a member of the public or an employer. Select the option most suited to you and then continue your way through the portal.
5. How do I send any other documentation I may have when I raise a concern using the online referral portal?
The online referral portal allows you to upload any documents you wish to send in support of your referral in a secure way as part of completing the online form.
6. I have submitted my online referral form but forgot to upload some supporting documentation. How do I add this to the referral after it has been submitted?
Once you have submitted your online form you cannot make further changes, however you can contact the Fitness to Team, (FtP) by emailing: ftp@niscc.hscni.net and providing the concern number reference you received on your confirmation email who will be happy to help.
7. How will I know you have received my online referral?
You will receive confirmation by email acknowledging we have received your concerns once you have submitted your online form.
8. What do I do if I am having difficulties in submitting an online referral?
If you experience any difficulties in submitting your concern or you have any queries about submitting your online form you can contact the Fitness to Practise Team by email at: ftp@niscc.hscni.net, who will be happy to assist you.
9. How will I be kept up to date about the progress of the concerns I have raised?
Where we open a case in relation to concerns raised, an FtP Officer will provide you with regular updates on the progress and outcome. If the Standard of Acceptance is not met and we do not open a case you will be notified and provided with the reasons why.
