Join us for this insightful seminar exploring the development and impact of school-based social work in Northern Ireland.
This Lunchtime Seminar, presented by the School Social Work Network, will highlight that support is needed to assist young people to reach their full potential in all aspects of life.
School-based social work in Northern Ireland continues to grow organically, with seven social workers currently employed directly by schools. The role focuses on early intervention, strengthening links between schools, families, and communities, and providing support before statutory services become involved. Post-COVID, schools have increasingly become a vital space where families seek support, making the social work role essential in responding to concerns and ensuring educational needs remain a priority.
Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to the ongoing growth and professionalisation of school-based social work in Northern Ireland.
