Understanding Dynamic Risk Assessment Underpinned by a Rights Based Approach

12 March 2021

The Health and Social Care Board has developed a Domiciliary Care Surge Plan for Northern Ireland on managing the transmission of Covid-19 for service users and staff.

43 actions across 7 thematic areas have been attributed to various organisations which enables monitoring of progress against the surge plan. Action 11 under the theme of Strengthening Infection Prevention and Control recommends training is provided to staff across a range of work areas in dynamic risk assessment which is underpinned by a rights based ethos. This action is attributed to domiciliary care providers and also has relevance to the Supported Living sector.

This session has been organised to deliver training in dynamic risk assessment. Rosemary Wilson Legal Health & Social Care Education Consultant will deliver the teaching input for the session after which staff will have the opportunity to explore practical application within their own work areas
