Did you miss one of the previous Northern Ireland Social Care Council’s virtual Lunchtime Seminars? Don’t worry, you can still catch up! We have recordings, videos, and presentations of most of our seminars available on our website.
Lunchtime Seminars – helping you meet your 90 hours
Lunchtime Seminars are a great opportunity to hear from your colleagues in social work and social care about areas of good practice, research and lived experience.
The learning you’ll get from Lunchtime Seminars can be used towards your 90 hours of continuous learning and development, helping you to gather evidence that you are meeting your professional standards.
We have a wide range of topics available, including:
– Being compassionately with people in distress: An important conversation on suicide, self-harm, and safety planning.
– Working in Partnership with the LGBTQIA+ Population: What social workers need to know.
– Family Voices in Decision Making: Independence in Action.
Lunchtime Seminars are not ours, but yours
To access all the recordings, simply visit our website and click on the ‘Supporting the Workforce’ tab in our Menu and search for ‘Lunchtime Seminar Resources’. You can then search for the seminar you’re interested in.
We hope you’ll take advantage of this great resource and catch up on any seminars you missed.
For future seminars, visit our Events page and if you have an idea about a future topic email alison.shaw@niscc.hscni.net.
