Muckamore Abbey Hospital Inquiry Consultation

09 February 2021

Were you a patient of Muckamore Abbey Hospital?

Do you run services for former Muckamore Abbey Hospital Patients?

We would like to hear from you!

The Minister of Health, Robin Swann, has called for a Public Inquiry into abuse at Muckamore Abbey Hospital.

Minister Swann has asked the Patient and Client Council to find out what patients of Muckamore Abbey Hospital would like the inquiry to investigate. The lived experiences of patients will help the Inquiry identify the most important questions that the Inquiry should ask. We want to talk to former patients of Muckamore Abbey Hospital about what they would like the Inquiry to investigate.

If you are a former patient of Muckamore Abbey Hospital and you would like to talk to us about your experience, please contact Eleanor Good, Client Support Officer, at 028 9536 1708 or Eleanor.Good@pcc-ni.net for more information. The Patient and Client Council will support you to learn more about the Inquiry and will make sure that you have the chance to have your voice heard.

If you are a service provider who works with former Muckamore Abbey Hospital patients, please contact us if any of your clients are interested in having their say in the Inquiry. Please only contact us if you have obtained the consent of your client and/or their  carers and/or advocates.
