Free Training for Domiciliary Care Workforce

Free training is being made available for front line Domiciliary Care/Support Workers, their supervisors and Domiciliary Care Managers in the Management of Dysphagia and Continence Management, Reablement, Medicine management and Frailty Training and in Palliative Care. These events are open to staff working in the statutory, voluntary and private settings and will begin in February.

The training will be facilitated by the Social Care Council and delivered by the Public Health Agency. Funding is also available for employers to facilitate staff attendance/backfill arrangements, attending from the voluntary and private sectors.

 


The Reablement training events will take place at the following venues, with 2 sessions available in the ones in bold., If there are two sessions; one beginning with registration at 9.30am and concluding at 12.30pm and the other beginning with registration at 1.30pm and concluding at 4.30pm. If there is only one session that day they will begin at 9.30am and end at 12.30pm

The Management of Dysphagia and Continence Management training events will take place at the following venues, beginning with registration at 9am and concluding at 4.30pm:

 The Medicine Management and Frailty training events will take place at the following venues, beginning with registration at 9am and concluding at 4.30pm:

 The Palliative Care training events will take place at the Innovation Factory, Forthriver Business Park, 385 Springfield Rd, Belfast BT12 7DG:

The Mental Health training events will take place at the following venues, beginning with regestration at 9am and concluding at 4.30pm:

The Fundamentals of Autism training events will take place at the following venues, beginning with regestration at 9am and concluding at 4.30pm:
