Think Career? Think Social Work & Social Care!

‘Skills Northern Ireland’ is coming to town with its annual extravaganza of careers, jobs, skills and apprenticeship events, giving young people the opportunity to explore future skills and get work ready through a number of interactive and inspiring learning experiences.

We at the Social Care Council will be present for the two-day fair on Wednesday, 7 and Thursday, 8 November at the Titanic Exhibition Centre, Belfast from 9.30am – 3pm. See Directions

So if you are interested in a career in Social Work and Social Care, then why not come and visit us at the Health & Social Care Zone. Here we will have experts from the Social Care Council and the independent social care sector to provide advice and guidance about how to carve a career out of social work and social care and make a difference to those in need!

This is a free two-day event, aimed at ensuring 14-19 year olds get the best possible start to their careers, whether they choose to go on to college/university or embark on an apprenticeship, choosing the right career is the first step to determining what  further learning they need to get there.

If you are a parent/carer of a young person aged 14-19, you are also invited to come along to the event. The engaging activities will let you explore the vast career options available within social work and social care and you can meet social care employers who will be able to talk you through their career journey so far and answer any questions about how to achieve career goals.
